Reading and books are highly valued by most people.
We hear often people sigh: “I ought to read more.” But they lack time or they are at a loss amidst the overwhelming range of books.
We can’t make time, but, in places frequented by a lot of people, we do focus attention on books.
Together with public libraries, the Reading Association puts a selection of books in theatres, museums, company canteens, youth centres, nurseries, and retirement homes.
